Crushing Your 2024 Sales Goals: A Data-Driven Guide to Kickstart Your Year
January 2, 2024Journey with me as we create a roadmap to sales success in 2024!
The clock has struck midnight, and the world has ushered in a new year. You are a sales professional gearing up for fresh challenges and a better real estate market. You have set your goals based on data-backed strategies and you are ready to go. Let’s discuss what this path may look like for you.
Embracing Change: Adapt and Overcome
Every successful sales journey begins with the willingness to adapt. I remember when I started in this business in 2012, very few sales executives embraced the shift to digital communication. They were still stuck in the world of paper, donut deliveries, and snail mail. When I recognized this, I decided to utilize traditional and non-traditional means of communication like social media and video texts. It was unique, memorable, and hit a broader clientele. It also allowed me to become the #1 sales executive in my company in my first two years. As we kick off 2024, technology continues to play a pivotal role in sales. According to a recent survey by Salesforce, businesses leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) in their sales processes witnessed a 63% increase in revenue and a 47% increase in customer satisfaction. It’s crucial to integrate technological advancements into your sales strategy.
Data-Driven Decision-Making: Profit in Your Performance
When I was in the field, I worked with a REALTOR that knew exactly how many open houses he needed to do to meet a certain amount of people. He knew how many people he had to meet to convert one to a client. He was able to schedule the exact amount of open houses he needed to reach his goals in a year. How about that for data-driven metrics? According to a study by Harvard Business Review, organizations that use data-driven insights are six times more profitable than their competitors. Start the new year by refining your analytics tools, ensuring you have real-time insights into customer behavior, market trends, and your performance. This commitment to data will undoubtedly set the stage for this year’s success.
Customer-Centric Approach: The Customer’s Story
In the heart of every successful sale lies a commitment to understanding the customer. Every decision my team made when I was a sales executive always started with the question, “Does this help our customer?”. If the answer was no, my team or I immediately stopped the behavior or action. If the answer was yes, then we proceeded to figure out how to implement it and scale. Our goal was to be unique, add value, and most of all, get results for them! As reported by HubSpot, companies prioritizing customer experience see a 20% increase in customer satisfaction and loyalty. Make 2024 the year of your customers. Dive deep into their needs, preferences, and pain points, creating a personalized experience that fosters lasting relationships.
Social Selling: A Story of Connection
In an age dominated by social media, I was able to harness the power of social selling, which very few title sales reps were doing in 2012, and honestly, still don’t utilize to this day. Instagram and Facebook, in particular, emerged as a goldmine for me. According to the the DataReportal, Instagram users follow and research brands and products on Instagram. It’s the second most popular activity on the platform with 62.3% of users engaging in it. So there’s a good opportunity to attract followers who want to hear what your brand has to say!
As we step into 2024, use my stories as inspiration to adapt, decide, understand, and build your own stories. By incorporating data-driven insights, embracing change, adopting a customer-centric approach, navigating the virtual landscape, and leveraging the potential of social selling, you can set the stage for unprecedented success in the new year. May this year be filled with closed deals, satisfied customers, and triumphs that echo throughout your professional journey. Happy selling and as always, your MTD team is here to help you along the way!
